Research is central to Concentric's purpose.
We believe that meaningful communities should continuously learn from the experiences of the people within them. By understanding how women navigate careers, leadership, entrepreneurship, transitions and professional relationships, we aim to build better circles, better products and better evidence, not simply bigger communities.
We recognise that this responsibility requires trust.
This Research Ethics Policy explains the principles that guide how we collect, analyse, interpret and use information provided by members.
Our commitment is simple: people come before data.
Our research exists to:
Research is conducted to support learning, not surveillance.
Every research activity undertaken by Concentric is guided by the following principles.
Respect
We treat every member as a person, not a dataset. Every response represents someone's lived experience and deserves to be interpreted thoughtfully and respectfully.
Transparency
We aim to be clear about what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and who has access to it. We avoid collecting information that has no genuine purpose.
Proportionality
We only collect information that is reasonably necessary to operate Concentric, improve member experience, and conduct meaningful research. We seek to minimise unnecessary data collection wherever possible.
Confidentiality
Information shared by members is treated confidentially. Individual responses will not be intentionally published in identifiable form without explicit permission. Research outputs are generally presented using aggregated findings, anonymised examples, broad themes and statistical summaries.
Integrity
We strive to present findings honestly. We do not intentionally manipulate research outcomes to support predetermined conclusions. Where evidence is uncertain, incomplete or evolving, we will say so.
Human Judgement
Technology supports our work. It does not replace human judgement. Research findings are interpreted by people, not generated solely by artificial intelligence.
Participation in Concentric includes providing information that helps us improve our community.
Members choose what information they provide.
Participation in questionnaires and discussions should always be voluntary unless information is reasonably required to administer membership.
Research may draw upon information including:
Circle conversations themselves are not routinely recorded.
Facilitator observations may contribute to broader learning only where appropriate.
Artificial intelligence may assist with organising responses, identifying recurring themes, summarising information, and highlighting patterns.
AI does not independently reach research conclusions, publish findings, or determine recommendations.
Every published insight is subject to human review.
Research may be published through reports, journals, articles, newsletters, presentations, conferences, talks, podcasts, and digital products.
Published findings are intended to improve understanding rather than identify individuals.
Where reasonably possible, research findings are anonymised. This means removing or obscuring information that could reasonably identify an individual. Examples may be edited to protect privacy while preserving meaning.
Direct quotations will only be attributed where explicit permission has been obtained. Otherwise quotations may be anonymised, paraphrased, combined with similar responses, or omitted entirely.
Research helps Concentric improve its products and services. Research findings may also contribute to future commercial activities, including publications, educational resources, memberships, digital products, speaking engagements, consulting, and partnerships.
Personal information will not be sold.
Commercial use relates to the insights, not the identities, of members.
Concentric aims to maintain editorial independence. Research findings will not intentionally be altered to satisfy sponsors, commercial partners, advertisers, investors, employers, or members.
Evidence should lead conclusions, not the other way around.
No research is entirely free from bias. We therefore seek to minimise bias by collecting diverse perspectives, reviewing methodologies, challenging assumptions, using multiple sources where appropriate, and continually refining our processes.
Research should never come at the expense of member wellbeing. Members should never feel pressured to disclose information that makes them uncomfortable. Facilitators are encouraged to prioritise the wellbeing of participants over research objectives.
Members may request deletion of personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
Where information has already been anonymised or incorporated into aggregated research, it may no longer be reasonably possible to identify or remove an individual's contribution.
Research information is stored using secure systems with appropriate access controls. Access is restricted to authorised individuals who require the information to carry out their responsibilities.
Research methods evolve. We regularly review questionnaires, placement methodology, ethical considerations, technology, AI usage, and data governance.
We welcome feedback from members and will continue improving our practices over time.
Ultimate responsibility for research governance rests with Concentric's leadership.
Research activities are overseen by NexaStrategic Ltd, which is responsible for ensuring research is conducted in accordance with this Research Ethics Policy, our Privacy Policy, applicable UK data protection legislation, and our organisational values.

At Concentric, research is not something we do to our members. It is something we do with them.
Every application, conversation and piece of feedback helps us better understand how women build careers, navigate change and form meaningful professional relationships. That understanding helps us design better circles, ask better questions and create better experiences for every member who joins.
With that opportunity comes responsibility. We believe trust is earned through transparency, and that the people who make our research possible deserve to know exactly how their information is used.
This is our promise to every member.
We collect information with purpose
We only ask for information that helps us understand who you are professionally, what you're looking for and how we can create the most valuable experience for you. If we cannot clearly explain why we need a piece of information, we should not ask for it.
We put people before data
Behind every response is a real person with their own experiences, ambitions and challenges. You are never just a profile, a dataset or an algorithm. Our research exists to improve people's experiences, not simply to produce statistics.
We publish insights, not identities
The purpose of our research is to understand patterns, not expose individuals. Where we share research publicly, we do so using aggregated or anonymised information wherever reasonably possible. We will never knowingly publish identifiable personal information without your explicit permission.
Technology supports our judgement
We use carefully selected technology, including artificial intelligence, to help us organise information, identify themes and improve operational efficiency. Technology helps us work more effectively. It does not replace human judgement. Every membership decision and every Circle placement is reviewed and approved by a person.
We never sell your personal information
Your personal information is never sold to advertisers, data brokers or other organisations. Research may contribute to future products, publications or commercial services developed by Concentric, but those insights come from anonymised trends and collective learning, not from selling information about individual members.
We respect confidentiality
Meaningful conversations require trust. Circle sessions are recorded solely to produce follow-up notes and commitments, without identifying markers, and are deleted within 5 business days. Members are expected to respect the confidentiality of one another and not disclose personal information shared within a Circle without permission.
We seek evidence over assumptions
Our goal is not to prove what we already believe. Our goal is to understand what is actually true. We approach research with curiosity, challenge our assumptions and continually refine our methods as we learn.
We continue to improve
Research is an ongoing process. As Concentric grows, our questions, methods and technology will evolve. We regularly review how we collect, analyse and use information to ensure our practices remain ethical, proportionate and aligned with our values. We welcome feedback from our members and believe transparency should improve alongside our community.
Our Commitment
Every decision we make about research is guided by a simple principle: if we would not feel comfortable explaining how we use your information, we should not be collecting it in the first place.
We believe meaningful communities are built on trust, and trust begins with honesty. Research helps us build a better Concentric. People are the reason it exists.
Effective Date: 25 July 2026 · Last Updated: 25 July 2026
At Concentric, we believe technology should enhance human judgement, not replace it.
Artificial intelligence (AI) helps us work more efficiently, identify patterns and reduce administrative tasks. It allows us to spend more time doing what matters most: understanding our members and creating thoughtful, high-quality circles.
AI supports our work. It does not make decisions about people.
Every use of AI at Concentric is guided by six principles.
1. Humans make the decisions
Artificial intelligence never has the final say on matters that affect our members. Every membership application, Circle placement and significant operational decision is reviewed by a member of the Concentric team. AI informs our work. People remain accountable for it.
2. We use AI to support, not replace
AI helps us process information more efficiently, but it cannot understand people in the way people understand people. It cannot replace empathy, professional judgement, or lived experience. The purpose of AI is to reduce administrative work so our team can focus on building meaningful relationships.
3. We are transparent
We believe members should understand when AI is involved. We currently use AI to assist with tasks such as:
We do not attempt to hide our use of AI from our members.
4. We minimise unnecessary information
Whenever we use AI tools, we seek to minimise the amount of personal information shared. Where reasonably possible, we remove unnecessary identifying information, limit the information provided, use secure business platforms, and restrict access to authorised personnel.
5. AI does not replace responsibility
Using AI does not reduce our responsibility. Concentric remains accountable for decisions made about membership, placements, communications, research and community management. Responsibility always rests with people.
6. We continue to review our approach
Artificial intelligence is developing rapidly. We regularly review new technologies, privacy implications, security, fairness, accuracy, legal requirements and member expectations. If we believe a technology no longer aligns with our values, we will stop using it.
As of the date of this policy, AI may assist us in the following areas.
Membership Applications
AI may help organise application responses, identify common themes and prepare information for review. AI does not decide whether an application is accepted.
Circle Placement
AI may suggest similarities or themes between members. Every Circle placement is reviewed and approved by a human. AI never independently allocates members to Circles.
Research
AI may assist in identifying broader patterns across anonymised information. Research findings are reviewed by people before publication. Published research reflects human interpretation, not automated conclusions.
Internal Operations
AI may assist with drafting documents, summarising meetings, organising workflows, preparing reports and operational administration. These uses are designed to improve efficiency and consistency.
Our technology stack may evolve over time. Current AI providers may include OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Airtable AI, and Meta AI technologies. We may introduce alternative providers where appropriate. Any provider we use is assessed with regard to privacy, security and operational suitability.
Concentric does not use AI to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for individuals. Where AI assists with recommendations, meaningful human review always takes place before a decision is made.
We recognise that AI systems may reflect biases present in training data or outputs. To reduce this risk, we review AI-generated outputs before relying on them, avoid making decisions based solely on AI-generated recommendations, consider multiple sources of information, and continually refine our processes. We do not assume AI is always correct.
AI-generated outputs can occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. For this reason, outputs are treated as recommendations rather than facts, important decisions are verified by people, and members may request corrections to inaccurate personal information held by Concentric.
Our use of AI is governed by our Privacy Policy. Where AI providers process personal information on our behalf, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate contractual, technical and organisational safeguards are in place. We do not sell personal information to AI providers.
Only authorised members of the Concentric team may use AI tools in connection with member information. We expect all team members to use approved platforms, follow internal security procedures, protect confidential information, and avoid unnecessary disclosure of personal information.
Members may ask how AI is used within Concentric, request access to personal information, request correction of inaccurate information, raise concerns regarding AI-assisted processing, and contact us with questions about our technology.
Questions can be directed to privacy@nexastrategic.com.
Technology will continue to evolve. As it does, so will Concentric. Our commitment remains unchanged: we will continue to use technology thoughtfully, transparently and responsibly.
Whenever we introduce new technologies that materially affect how we process information, we will review this policy and update it where appropriate.
At Concentric, we believe meaningful relationships cannot be automated. Technology can help us work more efficiently. It cannot replace trust, empathy, or human judgement. Those principles will continue to guide every decision we make about artificial intelligence.
Effective Date: 25 July 2026 · Last Updated: 25 July 2026
Concentric exists to create meaningful professional relationships through thoughtfully curated conversations.
Every Circle is built on trust, curiosity and mutual respect. These guidelines help create an environment where every member feels able to contribute openly and confidently.
By participating in Concentric, you agree to uphold these principles.
Every member brings different experiences, perspectives and ambitions. Approach conversations with curiosity rather than judgement. Ask thoughtful questions. Seek to understand before offering advice.
What is shared in the Circle stays in the Circle.
Members must not disclose another person's personal experiences, career circumstances, business ideas, introductions, contact details, or any other confidential information without their explicit permission.
Trust is the foundation of every Circle.
Meaningful conversations require active listening. Give others time to speak. Avoid interrupting. Allow quieter members space to contribute. Not every silence needs to be filled.
Healthy disagreement is welcome. Personal attacks are not.
You are encouraged to question ideas, share alternative perspectives, and respectfully disagree. You should never criticise, belittle or undermine another member personally.
No two careers, or lives, look the same.
Avoid assumptions based on age, nationality, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, industry, company size, career stage, education, or personal background.
Different experiences enrich the conversation.
Every member contributes to the quality of the Circle. Where possible: arrive on time, minimise distractions, engage in discussion, complete any preparation requested, and notify us if you cannot attend.
Concentric is not a networking event. It is not a sales forum.
Members must not use Circles to sell products, pitch services, recruit clients, promote events, or pressure members into commercial conversations.
Business relationships may naturally develop, but they should arise through genuine connection rather than solicitation.
Not everyone wishes to discuss every topic. Members should never feel pressured to disclose personal experiences, financial information, family matters, health, trauma, or anything else they would prefer to keep private.
Choosing not to answer a question is always respected.
Offer advice that is thoughtful, practical, respectful and relevant.
Whenever possible, share experience rather than instruction. Instead of saying "You should do this," try "When I experienced something similar, this approach helped me."
Members should not take screenshots, photograph discussions, share chat messages, or publish member information.
Circle sessions are recorded by Concentric solely to create a record of what was discussed, so accurate follow-up notes and commitments can be sent afterwards. Facilitators do not take notes during sessions and focus fully on the conversation instead. Recordings are stored for no longer than 5 business days and then permanently deleted. Follow-up notes are prepared without identifying markers.
Members retain ownership of business ideas, frameworks, creative work, presentations, intellectual property and original thinking.
Do not reproduce or commercialise another member's work without permission.
If another member introduces an idea that influences your thinking, acknowledge it. Professional generosity strengthens communities.
Every member deserves to be heard. Be mindful of dominating conversations, interrupting repeatedly, or dismissing differing opinions. Great conversations are collaborative.
We welcome honest feedback. Members are encouraged to tell us what worked, what didn't, how Circles can improve, how matching can improve, and what future topics would be valuable.
Constructive feedback helps strengthen Concentric for everyone.
If you experience or witness behaviour that makes you uncomfortable, please let us know. This may include harassment, bullying, discrimination, breaches of confidentiality, inappropriate behaviour, repeated disruption, or conflicts of interest.
Reports will be handled fairly, confidentially and respectfully.
Contact: privacy@nexastrategic.com
Where these guidelines are not respected, Concentric may issue a warning, remove a member from a Circle, suspend membership, or terminate membership.
These decisions are made to protect the integrity and safety of the wider community.
The quality of Concentric is shaped by its members. Every conversation is an opportunity to learn, support, challenge respectfully, connect meaningfully, and help someone leave with greater clarity than when they arrived.
The strongest communities are not built through rules alone. They are built through trust, generosity and a shared commitment to helping one another succeed.
By joining Concentric, every member commits to acting with integrity, respecting confidentiality, listening with curiosity, contributing thoughtfully, supporting others without expectation, and protecting the trust placed in our community.
Because meaningful relationships are built one conversation at a time.
Effective Date: 25 July 2026 · Last Updated: 25 July 2026
Concentric exists because meaningful conversations require trust.
Our Circles are designed to be places where members can speak honestly about their careers, businesses, ambitions, uncertainties and experiences without worrying that those conversations will leave the room.
Confidentiality is not simply a rule. It is a commitment every member makes to every other member.
By participating in a Concentric Circle, you agree to uphold the principles set out in this Charter.
Concentric is committed to creating an environment where members feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, sharing experiences, discussing challenges, celebrating successes, and seeking advice.
That can only happen when everyone knows their privacy will be respected.
Unless explicit permission has been given, members must not share outside the Circle:
The expectation is simple: if someone shared it in confidence, treat it as confidential.
Members must not attribute comments to another member without that person's explicit permission.
For example, acceptable: "Someone in my Circle shared an interesting perspective…" Not acceptable: "Sarah from Company X told us she's interviewing for another role."
Even when intentions are positive, identifying another member without permission may breach their trust.
Concentric records Circle sessions solely to create a record of what was discussed, so accurate follow-up notes and commitments can be sent to members afterwards.
Facilitators do not take notes during sessions; their attention stays on the conversation, and the recording carries that responsibility instead.
Recordings are stored for no longer than 5 business days after the session, after which they are permanently deleted.
Members must not separately record audio, record video, take screenshots, photograph meetings, livestream discussions, or create transcripts.
Follow-up notes drawn from the session recording are prepared without identifying markers and do not attribute comments to named individuals.
Members are welcome to take personal notes for their own learning.
However, notes should not contain identifiable information about other members unless permission has been given.
Notes should never be shared publicly.
Many valuable relationships begin through Concentric.
Before introducing another member to a third party, always obtain their permission.
Professional introductions should always be consensual.
Members retain ownership of everything they create and share. Sharing an idea in a Circle does not transfer ownership.
Members agree not to reproduce another member's work, commercialise another member's ideas, or present another member's work as their own.
Professional generosity strengthens trust.
Every member decides what they wish to share. No one should feel pressured to discuss personal matters, family, finances, health, business information, career decisions, or anything they would prefer to keep private.
Choosing not to answer is always respected.
The same principles apply whether a Circle takes place in person, online, through the Concentric platform, or in member discussions.
Confidentiality does not end when the meeting finishes.
Concentric learns from member experiences to improve our community and produce research. Where member information contributes to research, findings are presented in anonymised or aggregated form wherever reasonably possible, individual members are not identified without explicit permission, and research is conducted in accordance with our Research Ethics Policy.
Confidential conversations are not published.
There may be limited circumstances where confidentiality cannot be maintained. These include situations where disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, to protect someone's safety, to prevent serious harm, or to respond to a lawful request from a regulator or court.
Where appropriate and lawful, we will seek to inform the affected member.
Breaches of confidentiality undermine the trust on which Concentric depends. Examples include sharing confidential conversations, revealing another member's identity in connection with Circle discussions, forwarding confidential communications, recording sessions without permission, or distributing member information.
Depending on the circumstances, Concentric may issue a warning, remove a member from a Circle, suspend membership, or terminate membership.
Every member contributes to the culture of Concentric.
Confidentiality is not simply about keeping information secret. It is about creating an environment where people feel safe enough to be honest.
When trust grows, conversations become more meaningful. When conversations become more meaningful, relationships become stronger. That is the purpose of every Circle.
By participating in Concentric, I agree to:
I understand that maintaining confidentiality is a condition of participating in Concentric and that serious or repeated breaches may result in the suspension or termination of my membership.

This policy explains how Concentric memberships, payments, cancellations and refunds are managed.
It forms part of our Terms & Conditions and applies to all members.
Concentric operates on a monthly membership basis.
Membership provides access to curated Circle placements, member communications and any other benefits associated with your membership tier.
Membership is personal to you. It cannot be shared, transferred or assigned to another individual.
Membership fees are charged monthly in advance.
Founding Membership is currently offered from US$75 per month.
Future membership tiers and pricing may differ.
Concentric reserves the right to introduce additional membership options or revise pricing. Existing members will receive reasonable notice before any price changes affecting their membership take effect.
Payments are processed through secure third-party providers, such as Stripe.
Payment must be received by the published payment deadline each month.
Failure to make payment may result in suspension of membership, removal from upcoming Circle placements, cancellation of membership, or loss of access to member benefits.
Concentric is not responsible for fees charged by your bank or payment provider.
Applications and Circle placements are generally prepared towards the end of each calendar month.
Payment is due before the 5th day of the following month, unless otherwise communicated.
Membership becomes active once payment has been successfully received.
If you purchase your membership online, you may have rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Where you request that your membership begins immediately during the statutory cancellation period, you expressly acknowledge that digital services and membership administration may commence before the end of that period.
Where permitted by law, once the requested services have begun, your cancellation rights may be reduced or lost in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.
Nothing in this policy limits any statutory rights you may have.
Membership fees are generally non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
Refunds will only be provided where required by law, where Concentric cancels a Circle and cannot offer a reasonable alternative, or where Concentric determines that exceptional circumstances apply.
Refund requests are considered individually.
If you cannot attend a Circle, please notify us as soon as possible.
Where reasonably possible, we may offer placement into another Circle, attendance at a future session, or an alternative opportunity. However, this cannot be guaranteed.
Failure to attend does not create an entitlement to a refund, a credit, or a replacement session.
You may cancel your membership at any time.
Cancellation will prevent future renewals but does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current membership period.
Unless otherwise stated, your membership benefits continue until the end of the paid billing period.
Concentric reserves the right to suspend or terminate memberships where membership fees remain unpaid, these Terms or Community Guidelines are breached, confidential information is improperly disclosed, abusive or inappropriate behaviour occurs, fraudulent information has been provided, or participation presents a risk to other members or to Concentric.
Where reasonably possible, we will communicate our decision and reasons before taking action, unless immediate action is necessary to protect members or comply with legal obligations.
Circle placements are carefully curated.
Occasionally we may need to change facilitators, reschedule dates, merge Circles, postpone sessions, change formats, or adjust group composition.
These operational changes do not normally entitle members to refunds.
Where demand exceeds capacity, applicants or members may be placed on a waiting list.
Placement on a waiting list does not guarantee a future place in a Circle.
We understand that unexpected situations arise.
Where exceptional circumstances exist, such as serious illness or bereavement, members are encouraged to contact us.
While we cannot guarantee an exception, we will consider requests compassionately and fairly.
