Who challenges you?

Your professional devil’s advocate.

Concentric composes peer Councils for professionally established women with something consequential in play.

Six women. 90 minutes a month. A room built to question assumptions and move important thinking forward.

Research-led. Evidence-informed. Shaped by expert perspectives.

You already have people to talk to.

  • Friends.
  • Colleagues.
  • Mentors.
  • Partners.
  • A network.
  • They matter.

But when something important is at stake, who gives you the “what about?”

Who questions the assumption everyone has accepted?

Who can stress-test your thinking without a stake in what you choose?

That is the role Concentric puts into the room.

A strong network can still leave a gap.

Different relationships do different jobs. None of them needs replacing. But they do not always create the conditions for candid, independent challenge.

Friend

Knows your history.

Partner

May live with the consequences.

Colleague

Sits inside the same system.

Mentor

Brings experience and advice.

Sponsor

Has invested in your progression.

Network

Creates access and opportunity.

The gap tends to show when

  • The question is still unfinished.
  • You know what you want and need the plan stress-tested.
  • Several options look plausible.
  • Seniority, reputation or politics make candor harder.
  • Encouragement is useful, but no longer enough.

The Council

Six women. One deliberately composed Council.

Women are placed around what they are navigating, not simply what they do.

Enough shared context to understand each other. Enough difference to interrupt habitual thinking.

Six women

90 minutes monthly, on Zoom

A neutral facilitator

Shared Council principles

Continuity across sessions

Private reflection before and after

The founder is not the facilitator.

The value has to exist in the Council itself.

What happens in the room?

You bring the decision, question or tension occupying your thinking.

The other five are not there to tell you what to do. They:

  • Listen carefully.
  • Ask better questions.
  • Challenge an assumption.
  • Offer another perspective.
  • Notice what you may have overlooked.
  • Give you the “what about?”

Agreement can be useful. So can disagreement.

Some sessions may surface an option you had not considered. Others may leave you less certain than when you arrived.

That can still be movement.

The point is not to leave with an answer. It is to leave having thought differently because the room existed.

Movement, not just a good conversation.

What changed because the room existed?

Progress here is not assumed to mean promotion.

It can be smaller, less linear and more specific.

  • A question gets clearer.
  • An assumption is challenged.
  • A plan survives stress-testing.
  • Action is taken — or consciously declined.

We are interested in what challenge changes, not simply whether the conversation felt good.

Something consequential is in play.

Concentric is for professionally established women at an inflection point.

Not defined by title, industry or generation.

You do not need a finished question. Some of the most useful ones are unfinished.

You might be

  • Considering a role or career change.
  • Facing redundancy, re-entry or a new chapter.
  • Leaving a successful path for something different.
  • Clear on the destination, uncertain about the route.
  • Noticing that something no longer fits.

Edition One

The first Concentric Councils.

Edition One is a pilot, not proof.

Founding members are helping us test the model rather than experience a finished one.

Transition

A significant change in professional direction — moving between roles, sectors or ways of working; redundancy or re-entry; or leaving something established.

$75/month — founding rate

Visibility & Momentum

Not necessarily changing direction, but thinking seriously about what comes next — greater visibility, a larger remit, a different kind of influence, or progress that has become less obvious.

$75/month — founding rate

Recalibration

Reconsidering the shape of a professional life — what stays, what changes, what gets deprioritized, and whether the version of success you were working toward is still the one you want.

$75/month — founding rate

Founding rates remain locked while membership is continuous.

Edition One begins with a three-month commitment.

Placement, not sign-up.

Concentric is deliberately composed. It begins with a short application followed by a Placement Conversation.

We want to understand what you are navigating and what your perspective might add to the women already being considered.

Placement is decided around the Council as a whole, not individual eligibility.

What we are testing

A pilot should answer questions.

  • Can deliberately composed strangers develop enough trust for useful challenge?
  • Does that challenge change thinking or create movement?
  • Is six women, 90 minutes and a monthly rhythm the right architecture?

Edition One is a test, not proof.

The Evidence Base

Concentric began with a question.

What is missing from the professional lives of women who already have careers, networks, mentors and people around them?

67 women

Our first US research study.

Since then, we have continued the inquiry through published evidence, academics and researchers, external practitioner perspectives and placement conversations.

We are interested in where those perspectives converge. Where they do not. And where our own assumptions need challenging.

Edition One adds something different: evidence from what actually happens in the room.

The Journal

Questions worth staying with.

The Journal examines the ideas underneath Concentric: challenge, candor, trust, difference, decision-making, professional transition and the limits of networks.

It is also where we interrogate our own assumptions as Concentric develops.

Who challenges you?

Someone with enough context to understand what is at stake.

Enough distance to see what you might not.

Enough curiosity to ask the question.

And no vested interest in what you decide.
