The Council
Six women, 90 minutes once a month, and a set of deliberate choices behind each of those numbers. This page explains the choices, and what we are still testing about them.
Distance may be useful.
The women in your Council do not work inside your organisation. They are not your oldest friends. They have not spent years reinforcing a particular version of who you are, and they do not need your decision to work for them.
That does not automatically make strangers objective, and it does not guarantee useful challenge.
Whether it does is one of the questions Edition One exists to answer.
Small enough for depth. Large enough for difference.
Six gives each Council multiple perspectives without turning the room into an audience. It also creates a meaningful constraint: every seat matters, and there is nowhere to sit quietly for 90 minutes.
Whether six women, 90 minutes and a monthly rhythm is the right architecture is something Edition One is designed to help answer.
The thinking belongs to the Council.
The facilitator does not coach the Council, does not provide the answer, and does not become the centre of the experience. Her role is to hold the conditions around the conversation:
The founder is not the facilitator. The value has to exist in the Council itself.
The Reflection Loop
Three short prompts before the Council and three after. Not homework, not an assessment, not a coaching intake. Your reflections remain yours.
Before
What is occupying my thinking?
So you arrive with something real rather than assembling it in the first ten minutes.
After
What changed in my thinking?
Captured while it is still fresh. Over time it becomes a record of how your thinking moved.
